PLEASE NOTE: This SGM has been cancelled

Dear Members,

This e-mail is official notification that the OCSL League Management Board has made the decision to call a Special General Meeting (SGM) for Sunday, April 9th @ 11am.

The SGM has been called to address a request from a significant percentage of the membership to vote on the following:

To direct the Ottawa Carleton Soccer League (OCSL) to end its affiliation with the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) and (as per Procedure 1.1) it’s relevant branch association, the Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association (EODSA), to be effective immediately.

The meeting will be held at Nepean Sportsplex Hall C and D.

The Board has agreed to call the SGM because it was considered to be in the best interest of the OCSL Membership that the discussion take place under the aegis of the Board, but the Board will not be making any recommendation.   It is a matter for Members to decide.

As per the OCSL constitution, all active Members shall be required to be represented by an official spokesperson. Any active Club having been duly notified of the date and place that fails to attend a General meeting shall be subject to a fine of $100.

Each member is entitled to one vote per OCSL team, excluding withdrawn teams. For this SGM, team numbers will be determined from the 2017 team applications as of the date of the notice. A two thirds majority will be needed for this vote to pass.

Thank you,

OCSL League Management Board
